IMPORTANT: Every individual in your group is required to register in advance.

• Your group size may be reduced to the number of registered individuals to accommodate waitlisted volunteers.
• Volunteers under the age of 18 require a guardian's electronic consent at least 48 hours before the volunteer shift.
• You can see who has signed up within your group using this form.

Where can I park?

• Volunteers at Cypress should park in the parking lot in front of the building. PLEASE do not park by Ciena's building. You can be subject to towing at your own expense.
• There is additional overflow parking BEHIND the Momentus / Continental building. Please look for the staff parking sign.

What should I expect?

• Please arrive on time. For safety and staffing reasons, doors close 10 minutes after the sort begins.
• Your health and safety is a top priority. Learn more about our health and safety requirements for more information.
• Mask use is optional and encouraged indoors.

What should I wear or bring?

• Masks are optional and encouraged.
• Wear closed toed shoes. Long pants are highly recommended but not required. Sleeveless shirts and sandals are not permitted.

I need documentation of my volunteer service — what should I do?

• Check out with our staff before departing for hours verification.
• We do not write letters, sign third-party forms, or electronically confirm hours on a third-party platform. See our volunteer timekeeping policy.

What if I need to cancel?

• Please email us at volunteerservices@shfb.org or call the Volunteer Engagement department at 408-266-8866, ext. 150.
• Individual group members can update their registration using their personal volunteer page.

What else do I need to know?

• Volunteers for this shift must be at least 12 years old.
• Adult guardians are required to actively volunteer with teens 15 and under.
• Electronic parental permission is required in advance for volunteers under 18.
